Dr. Edward Wise completed his military service as a Colonel for the United States Air Force (Reserve Retired) and practices state-of-the-art, family-focused dentistry in Beaufort County. He is a 1969 graduate of the Citadel and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1973. He also graduated from the USAF Air Command and Staff College in 1985 and the USAF Air War College in 1989.
As an active member of the community, Dr. Wise has been involved with many local organizations through the years, including the Sea Island Rotary where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He has been a Beaufort Water Festival Commodore, Beaufort Citadel President, Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club Commodore, Junior Achievement Instructor for Beaufort Elementary School, Boy Scout Scoutmaster, Lowcountry District chairman, Silver Beaver Award Recipient, and President of the Coastal Carolina Scout Council in 2005.
Dr. John Wise came back to join his father's dental practice in September 2015. He is a 2005 graduate of Clemson University, and like his father, earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2009. After dental school, John commissioned as an officer in the Army Dental Corps. During his military service, John completed a 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Benning and he deployed to Afghanistan with the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division. He is currently an officer in the Army Reserve. John achieved Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2016, a prestigious honor earned by completing over 500 hours of continuing education as well as passing a challenging examination.
John recently completed an implant mini-residency at the Triangle Dental Institute in Durham, North Carolina.
He is eager to incorporate this technology and treatment modality into his practice.
